Yuetan Section
Starting from Xiangshan Visitor Center and heading south along the lakeshore, this section passes through the southern part of the lake, Toushe Dam, and Crescent Bay. Crescent Bay is a hidden gem with few visitors, allowing you to enjoy a serene and peaceful atmosphere. If you’re lucky, you might witness the rare natural phenomenon known as "Angel's Tears." However, the route from Crescent Bay to the Huanhu No. 1 Tunnel is more challenging, with varying slopes and elevations.

Xiangshang Visitor Center
The Xiangshang Visitor Center is both for tourism and administration use. The uniquely designed building has wood-patterned exteriors and wings that stretch like human arms embracing the earth. In addition, the two giant canopy structures, 34 meters long and 8 meters tall each, allow people to enjoy beautiful views of the Sun Moon Lake from the top.

Located south of the Xiangshang Visitor Center, Crescent Bay is part of the "Moon Lake" area. The Yuetan Cycling Path runs through this area, which is rich in biodiversity and vegetation. On clear days, visitors can also spot the distant Cien Pagoda. As no boats operate in this area, it is an ideal spot for peaceful cycling or walking.

Boshanzhi Viewing Pavilion
To reach the Boshanzhi Viewing Pavilion, you must climb the stairs from the Yuelan Bicycle Path to the entrance of the Lake No. 1 Tunnel. This short distance involves an ascent of about 40 meters and can be reached in around 10 minutes. It is the highest point on the Yuelan Bicycle Path B section, offering a view of the entire Touse Basin, Jiji Mountain, and Houshan.
The section from Crescent Bay to the Huanhu No. 1 Tunnel has many slopes, moss, and curves. Cycling is prohibited; please walk your bike through this area.
