transportation for many people coming to Taichung. Take the

TRA Jiji Route Information
The Jiji line runs from Ershui in Changhua County to Checheng in
Nantou County. The entire distance is about 30 km. This is a
popular nostalgic railway route. It stops at Ershui, Yuanquan,
Zhuoshui, Longquan, Jiji, Shuili and Checheng Stations. Visitors
can take a local train at Changhua Station or Taiwan High Speed
Rail-Taichung Station, head to Shuili Station or Checheng
Station, and then take the Nantou Bus to Sun Moon Lake.
TRA Jiji Line Service Update
Train service on the TRA Jiji Line between Zhuoshui and Jiji
Stations resumed on January 5, 2026. However, service between
Jiji and Checheng Stations remains suspended, with shuttle bus
services currently in place for this section. Full service on
the entire line is tentatively scheduled to resume in July 2026.

The High Speed Rail travels very fast and is good for visitors
who want to reduce their time spent on traveling. Take the High

Township Road 63:
From Ita Thao Shopping District drive pass Tannan, Dili, and
Shuanglong Bunun Tribe. The area along this route is the Bunun
Culture and Ecology Route, where you can explore the Bunun
culture and ecosystem.
Shuili – Xinyi
Provincial Highway 16:
From Shuili Township to Xinyi Township travel along Provincial
Highway 16 all the way to Dili Village. Follow the meandering
road and continue onto Minhe Village in Shuili Township as the
spectacular Jhuoshuei River comes to view. The lush green
mountain forest on either side appear like open arms welcoming
you to Dili, Tannan and Shuanglong Tribe.
